Inventory no: Wdr 989. I believe this dress was original made in 1890 and had a pigeon. Chest, and then about 1900 was altered to more of an edwardian look. Extra fabric is still there, it was never cut away. The dress has a tiny 22 1/2 waist but a fuller chest. There is 20 abalone buttons down the back, all the button holes. Double pleats on skirt and wonderful black lace details. Material :Black lightly sheer black cotton. Bust : 37 (fairly full) compared to tiny waist. Across back between shoulders : 13. Armpit opening: 7 1/4. Condition : Great, I can not find anything to mention. This dress is in great for its age. + Great : Worn but near perfect. Small signs here and there. Pinholes barely detectable flaws, remember it is vintage. Good: Still wearable but needs repair new zippers, small holes , fading repairs, etc. Fair : Most likely not wearable for study or pattern making. We want you to love your new vintage items as much as we do! So please , please make sure you double check.
